SenSyn in full swing

Erasmus+ activities 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 (𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙎𝙮𝙣) continue. Last week we held a meeting of project partners and agreed on the next steps of the project activities.

In the past period, we have produced a digital collection of good practices in the field of lifelong learning and promoting healthy lifestyles for older adults. You can find it here.

The curriculum for the Training Programme on Promoting Lifelong Learning and Healthy Living is currently being developed. The content of the material will be based on different training modules combined with recreational activities. Each partner will prepare the content for 2 training modules and propose at least 2 recreational activities based on educational (Positive Thinking, Fitness and Endurance, Strength and Muscle, Balance, Blood Pressure, Nutrition) and recreational (Practical Exercises and Outdoor Activities) topics. The modules (each lasting between 2 and 4 hours) will be developed as a curriculum with learning objectives, training topics and examples of delivery for pilot testing, resulting in a common training programme ready to be used in the training of trainers.

You can also find out more about the project activities on the EPALE – Adult Learning in Europe website.

The project is co-funded by the European Union.

Digital database of innovative practices is now available

Over the past period, partners have explored good practices in the field of education for older people related to healthy lifestyles, active ageing and recreation.

The collection is a collection of research and analysis focused on supporting lifelong learning and promoting healthy living, with a range of case studies highlighting the importance of digitisation and education in improving the lives of different population groups, with a particular focus on senior citizens.

The methodology includes:

  • An in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the digital age, especially for older generations, with case studies exploring innovative approaches and successful practices in integrating technology and education to empower senior citizens.
  • Analysing the digital divide among older adults and focusing on intergenerational learning and the role of education in bridging the generation gap.
  • Exploring a range of successful initiatives in different countries, offering insights into the methods and strategies that can be used to promote digital literacy, social inclusion and active participation among older citizens.

It can serve as a resource for practitioners, policy makers, educators and researchers interested in the field of adult learning and digital participation, as it demonstrates the EU’s collective efforts to improve the quality of life of older adults through education and technology.

In total, we have collected 40 excellent examples of older people getting involved in these activities.

You can see the collection of examples at the following link.

Transnational Project Meeting in Varaždin, Croatia

The Final version of Digital database was published on the project web page (ENG) and will soon be available in partner languages (SLO, CRO).

On EPALE you can find two articles about the project activities and follow us for more.

In next stage of the project (WP3) topics for training materials will be made.

Kick-off meeting in Murska Sobota

Yesterday, together with the partners of the Erasmus+ SenSyn: Senior Synergies project, we held our first partner kick-off meeting in Murska Sobota.

SenSyn focuses on the challenges of active ageing, with a particular focus on adult education and adult education staff in the field of health and related practical (recreational) activities.

The aim is to create innovative learning opportunities to disseminate knowledge on the importance of understanding the concept of active ageing and practical education programmes in this field for the needs of local and national communities.
